The Pāmu biodiversity plan is under development. It will recognise biodiversity's co-benefits to climate adaptation, emissions reduction (sequestration), soil and water quality, and shade and shelter. In parallel to this work we are involved in a 4-year initiative with the Sustainable Food and Fibres Future Fund, measuring the value provided by ecosystem services on three Pāmu farms in Northland.

Guided by the Taskforce for Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework, our future Plan will establish our baseline, monitor and measure additionality, and evaluate nature-related risks and opportunities. We intend to set metrics to validate our on-farm biodiversity efforts and collaborate with our customers to unlock more value.

Our farm teams will be supported to enhance natural ecosystems and, in many cases, safeguard them through QEII covenants. This is one way we demonstrate our commitment to sustainable practices and to preserving our natural heritage for future generations.
