Pāmu Farms of New Zealand is a proud part of the communities in which we farm. As part of our responsibility to Aotearoa New Zealand we support two nationwide charities that align with our focus on people and wellbeing.
We believe that supporting Meat the Need and the IHC Calf & Rural Scheme can make a real difference to the lives of those in need within our communities.
“These organisations are doing great mahi across the country," says Pāmu CEO Mark Leslie. "We have supported IHC for decades, and we became involved with Meat the Need at its inception in 2019."
Pāmu supports Meat The Need with over 21,000 mince meals each year. Meat the Need is about New Zealand farmers feeding New Zealand families in need. It provides protein (milk and meat) for food boxes distributed by food banks and family support networks throughout the motu.
Pāmu also allocates 40 calves annually to IHC Group Calf & Rural Scheme to help them support clients with special needs. Some IHC folk visited their calves at our Exeter calf rearing facility, near Taupō, last year.
